Eindhovens Dagblad Jan Terlouw and the Orion Ensemble: a literary concert full of desire
A Spanish Day and Argentine nights

It wasn’t a bad idea of the Orion Ensemble to call in ex-politician and writer Jan Terlouw for performances in which music is linked to the presentation of a story. It was apparent that musicians and writer had well considered the structure of the performance. As starting-point served two compositions the theme of which in both was a cycle: a work by Piazzolla based on the four seasons and Turina’s Circulo, following the cycle of a day. … This narrative was interwoven with the music of the two composers reflecting the passionate feelings of a man and a woman. Recitation and music merged into one another smoothly. Terlouw showed himself an enthusiastic narrator. The three musicians proved by no means less talented and rendered all those flaming emotions, desire, in powerful strokes.
… to the wistful sounds of Oblivion. A quiet conclusion of a wonderful performance.
