Blue Notes

E-mail Print PDF
Blue notes, from Chopin to the Beatles. A sigh gives relief! A man in a melancholy mood lets many a sigh escape. A composer converts his sighs of such a moment into beautiful, melancholy music. I’ve got the blues…the jazz musician would say. The ‘blues feeling’ is of all times and boundless and gives colour to this programme. You will hear music by Chopin, Gershwin, and Piazzolla, but also by Brubeck and Leutscher who were inspired by Chopin and The Beatles in a surprising way.
Living solely in melancholy is impossible. Hence these composers will surprise you again and again with their vivacious and sunny side. Leonard Leutscher will tell you about the thread among these blue notes in a playful way.
Wistful sounds in a light-hearted programme.
